Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry Terhadap Keterampilan Generik Sains Siswa

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran scientific inquiry terhadap keterampilan generik sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan two group pre-test-posttest design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan semester II tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil secara cluster random class, yaitu sebanyak 2 kelas berjumlah 62 orang. Kelas X MIA3 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran scientific inquiry terdiri atas 30 siswa, kelas X MIA1 sebagai kelas kontrol diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional terdiri atas 32 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes essay keterampilan generik sains yang terdiri dari 10 soal yang telah divalidasi. Nilai rata-rata siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran scientific inquiry diperoleh sebesar 79,63 dan untuk pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 66,69. Hasil uji t diperoleh thitung = 5,729 dan ttabel = 1,669 sehingga thitung > ttabel maka Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran scientific inquiry berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan generik sains siswa.
