Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Quizziz terhadap Hasil Belajar IPA

Digital learning media such as Quizizz are increasingly being used in the learning process to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. However, its effectiveness in the context of science learning at the junior high school level still requires further investigation. This study aims to determine the effect of using Quizizz on student learning outcomes in the topic of the human digestive system in class VIII of SMP GKPI Padang Bulan. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students, with two classes selected using non-probability sampling techniques, designated as the experimental and control groups. Data analysis techniques employed an independent t-test using SPSS software. The results showed that the average posttest score in the experimental class decreased from 60.51 to 37.07, while the control class also experienced a decline from 51.85 to 39.96. These findings indicate that the use of Quizizz has not been effective in improving student learning outcomes on the topic of the human digestive system. The novelty of this study lies in its critical evaluation of the effectiveness of Quizizz in the context of science learning, contrasting previous studies that generally reported positive results. The implications of this study highlight the importance of technical readiness, teacher training, and student adaptation in the effective use of digital media
