This research analyzes a case study of the Perkins 45 kVA genset maintenance system at PT. Agrolestari Mandiri NTYE, Nanga Tayap, where it serves as the primary electricity source for company operations. Given the genset's critical role, the study aims to identify common problems and evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented maintenance program.A descriptive qualitative research method was used, employing observation, interviews, and operational data analysis. The findings indicate that genset maintenance still faces several constraints, including issues with low power, overheat, seal leakage, and delays in adding coolant. To address these, the company implements daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance focused on checking and replacing essential components, along with a tiered system for handling damages.The research results show that the Perkins 45 kVA generator set at PT. Agrolestari Mandiri NTYE experienced several major issues, including low power output, overheating, seal leakage, injection pipe damage, and unstable RPM indicators. These problems were caused by dirty radiators, relay malfunctions, and delayed coolant refilling, which reduced the efficiency of the cooling system. The low frequency of routine servicing (only twice in 1.5 years) indicates that the preventive maintenance system has not been implemented optimally, leading to an increase in corrective repairs and component replacements such as the water house, air cleaner, radiator, fuel filter, and v-belt. This condition suggests early wear and reduced component lifespan due to insufficient preventive measures. Therefore, implementing a more disciplined and scheduled preventive maintenance program is essential to maintain performance and extend the generator’s service life
