Jalan Menuju Kemandirian Ekonomi Lokal: Pendampingan UMKM Kabupaten Ketapang dalam Perolehan NIB dan Sertifikat Halal Gratis oleh Tim Pendamping Halal Politeknik Negeri Ketapang

Abstrak

Ketapang Regency, as a vital component in Indonesia's economic diversity, faces particular challenges in developing the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. Despite its great potential, MSMEs in this region are constrained by the minimal understanding of the community, especially in remote areas, regarding the importance of business legality and halal certification.  Therefore, the halal assistance team of Ketapang State Polytechnic made efforts with the aim of increasing the literacy of people in remote areas around business legality and the benefits of halal certification, creating a firmer foundation for inclusive local economic growth.  In order to increase the economic independence of MSMEs in Ketapang Regency, the mentoring program carried out by the Ketapang State Polytechnic Halal Assistance team succeeded in achieving its main goal, namely increasing community literacy around business legality and halal certification. Positive results including increased community understanding, effectiveness of Business Identification Number (NIB) processing, and increased demand for halal certificates, show the positive impact of the program. However, challenges such as limited access to information and low education levels in some areas need to be addressed. By continuing to strengthen collaboration between educational institutions and communities, and maintaining sustainable efforts, it is hoped that this program can become an inspiring model for the development of MSMEs and local economic literacy in other areas.
